Small stone – big moment!!
Together with our partners and guests, we celebrated the laying of the foundation stone for our new day-care centre on Schwabenheimer Straße in Mannheim-Rheinau. A modern new building for learning, playing and having fun is taking shape here – with 60 places, an important contribution to strengthening the childcare infrastructure in the district.
We were especially pleased to celebrate this milestone together with representatives of the City of Mannheim, the Protestant Church of Mannheim as the future operator of the facility (EKMA), and other project partners. Among our guests we were able to welcome Dirk Grunert (City of Mannheim, Mayor for Education, Youth and Health), Steffen Jooß (Director of the Protestant Church Administration of the EKMA), Dr Victor vom Hoff (managing pastor of the Protestant parish of Mannheim South) and Sabine Zehenter (Head of Day-Care Centres, EKMA).
Our thanks go to everyone who makes this project possible and who, with their expertise, commitment and conviction, help turn planning into a built future. Because while the shortage of childcare places is often discussed in figures, the solutions take shape on site – stone by stone, room by room.
In the immediate vicinity of the Versöhnungskirche, a place is growing here where children will learn, play, discover and experience community.
